Hello There! I've been so busy working I 've barely had a chance to sit down and catch up. Here I am in my dirty apron. I looked down after a few hours of throwing and thought geez! I'm a mess! And below is a taste of what I am working on. This is in addition to designing new place settings and tweaking the sushi sets, I've gotten a few e-mails about the sushi sets missing from my site, sorry!! They will be back before winter ends.
Do you have a moment to answer a question?
I am designing place setting and would love your input! So, if you are setting a table or just out buying dinnerware do you prefer the sets that include:
1. dinner plate, salad plate, bowl, mug
or
2. dinner plate, salad plate, bowl, tea cup, saucer
Thank you for your time and input in this very important dinner table matter!

Hi! I prefer option #1, the dinner plate, salad plate, bowl and mug. It's less formal, but I don't like to fiddle around with cups and saucers. Even though I like the look of them.
But come to think of it, when all's said and done, I'd be more likely to stick my own face into a mug of coffee or tea in the morning, while offering a guests their coffee or tea in a cup with a saucer. Okay then, more formal.
I believe I'd go for option #2 and then buy some peripheral mugs for my own use.
All my dinnerware sets have option 2...so I guess that would be my answer, although that is more formal, and option 1 sounds very fun and workable also for a less formal option. Maybe offer sets that include Option 1 or Option 2...not much help, am I? (I figured I should respond, however, since you are being so kind to do the special order items that I asked for and aren't normally in your line...thank you again!)
This is definitely a good thing to question... I would go for option 1, but replace the mug with a water glass (if that is something you like to make). I typically think of a place setting having water and wine available, and reserve tea or coffee for the dessert...
If it's a casual set, #1, if it is a more formal set #2. For my nice wedding set, I went for #2. For my everyday set, I went for #1. That probably doesn't help. I do like cups with saucers though. :)
How fun!
I like... option 1!
Love mugs... cause I love coffee! Mugs are so fun for ice cream & soup too. That chunky... hearty feel in your hand.
I think with your design... you CAN NOT go wrong either way!
totally off subject... but I have been on a mad hunt for a fun butter dish!
have you done any... will you be making any?
what would be better than a butter dish with one of your fun birds!
just curious! Thanks!
thank you to everyone that responded both in the comments and via e-mail. It's been so fun to see what everyone uses and I'm loving the suggestions.
Carissa, I do have butter dishes in the works and sugar bowls and creamers - I also have platters and large serving bowls. fun!
Thanks so much!
Linda
